Isn’t it amazing how all Google street map guys make a lasting impression of your area with just one visit. Just remember, it would take months or maybe years before that street scene will be replaced with a new one.
What were you doing when the Google Street View guy came?
This time now you must be aware that Google map has recorded the public view of streets of cities and towns, big or small, in the Philippines, including that of Calabanga.
Last year sometime in June a Google Street View Guy whizzed around town and took photos of the streets in “detail” including its surprised folks.
It must be recalled that the giant web search company expanded street view of the country even introducing a program that allows third party, or volunteer individuals to avail of backpacks with 15-lens camera system designed to record a coverage with 360 degrees view. The gadget is mounted on top of a wearable backpack.
Don’t worry, identity of people who happened to be on the street when the mapping guy passed by were gently scrubbed and made somehow blurry. But if you are from the area, there is no doubt some of the individuals can still be associated with somebody.

Here’s one quick observation. The snapped photos also revealed the state of poverty, the standard of living, road network facility and the lack of it, among others.
Isn’t it amazing how all Google street map guys make a lasting impression of your area with just one visit. Just remember, it would take months or maybe years before that street scene will be replaced with a new one.
Even construction materials temporarily dumped on the street shoulder and on-going residential constructions become part of the street scene.
