A baby girl nicknamed IZZY (for Isabelle Mei) to her new parents, IS COMING SOON, some or about 7,319 miles (or 11,779 kilometers / 6,350 nautical miles) from the birth place of her mother, which was Antipolo City, in Rizal province.

[This is a late post on this site, and first posted on a social media platform.]

Then add four hundred kilometers (plus) more, as the wheels navigate the tricky Pan Philippine Highway, to the cradle of the clan in Calabanga, the birth place of her grandfather and her ancestors.

Quite a handful of Fer/Hernandezes have found their way around the country (provinces) and settled in their newly acquired place(s) as they now called home.

Some have flown overseas and settled in distant lands, many in the United States of America, Canada, and Great Britain, to name a few.

But since the real home is where the heart is, many visit or return and find their way back to the land where they considered the nesting place of their ancestors, as we will learn in future and upcoming posts.

For the meantime, let the newest parents and first time grandparents savor the arrival of Izzy in their lives, after the birthing pain, that is. Que sera sera.

PS: The cover photo (LEFT) is that of the mother culled from an album during her own birth date. RIGHT photo is IZZY, born at 4:00 PM (PDST) March 16, 2025. The bundle of joy is 6 lbs 6 ounces and 19.5 inches in length/ height.

The stork has finally landed.
