The miraculous image of Our Lady of Peñafrancia was crowned, reaffirming her as ‘Siempre la Reina de Nuestra Región’. The solemn ceremony underscored her lasting significance and honors her eternal role as the revered queen of the Bicol Region.

The nine-day novenas at the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist which began right after the Traslacion Procession of Friday of last week, culminates after two o’clock mass in the afternoon. this Saturday.

The Catholic mass happens in the cathedral grounds by the Centennial Arc The venerated images of the Virgin of Penafrancia and the El Divinio Rostro will be mounted on their respected carriages for the short walking procession from the Porta Mariae and towards the Tabuco landing site.

Meanwhile, watch first the re-enactment of the centenary crowning of the image of the Virgin of Peñafrancia, first done in 1924.

A special crafted barge will carry the images via the Naga river from Tabuco embarcation site up to the landing site right after the Magsaysay bridge.

The Ninth Day of the Novena in honor of Our Lady of Peñafrancia at The Naga Metropolitan Cathedral. Dedicated for the Voyadores, the theme for today is “Queen of the Apostles: Leading us all in furthering God’s Kingdom on Earth.”
