The Rich, Richier, Richest. Philippine towns with top regular income in fiscal year of 2014.
Cainta, aside from being the most populous municipality in the country, is now the richest with an annual income in 2015 of P1,251,517,325.79 even if it has a small land area of 42.99 square km (or 16.60 sq mi). Cainta municipal hall photo credit: Ramon FVelasquez.
Of the 1,502 local government units referred to as municipalities (or towns) of the Philippines, many reported high earnings (annual regular income) for the fiscal year end of 2014. Below is a listing of these LGU’s beginning from the highest income earner to the lowest.
While income was arranged beginning from the highest, it is not inferred that the town referred to is really that rich since we do not take into account the total financial information details of the local government unit like expenditures, savings and comparison of earnings versus population data and land area.
Annual regular income of local government unit consists of locally sourced revenue together with Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) for the year and other shares from the national tax collection.
Locally sourced revenue includes real property tax, tax on business, other taxes, regulatory fees, service/user charges, and receipts from economic enterprises.
The first listing below are the top towns with earnings between P892,914,458.54 (Cainta, Rizal) and P403,762,028.29 (T’Boli, South Cotabato). In December 2015, General Trias was converted into a city.

This is another heads up post for those following our Fernandez and Hernandez genealogy. #FernandezHernandezCalabanga, #GenealogyCalabanga, #FamilyTreeCalabanga I am sharing the last names or family names or surnames only of the brave men and women who found good loving partners out of the men and women from the Fernandez and […]
Ciriaco Hernandez was the eldest son of eight siblings (but there could be more) in his branch of the clan on the 5th generation of the forked branch of the Fernandezes. This is based from available data, with the ‘1st’ generation pegged on the year of 1784. #FernandezHernandezCalabanga, #FamilyTreeCalabanga, #GenealogyCalabanga […]

FERNANDEZ HERNANDEZ Post 3: On March 14th, 1919, RUFINA (pinang or pining) HERNANDEZ was born to the couple Ciriaco and Demetria Hernandez. She was on the 6th generation (based on our sourced start data of 1784, which could change, as research progress onward) baptized on March 29th of the same […]
FERNANDEZ HERNANDEZ Post 2: On March 11, 1869, Eulogio, one of the scions of the #FernandezHernandezCalabanga clan was born in the vast town of Quipayo, in the village somewhere within the current territory around barangay San Jose (now Pagatpat). In some baptismal records during that era, the place was also […]
FERNANDEZ HERNANDEZ POST 1: For years now, I have been mining on the discovery, research and documentation on the family tree of the biggest clan in Calabanga, the Fernandezes. Today, Feb. 29, exactly 220 years ago, was born ‘PF’ one of the pillar patriarch of the family. His parents were: […]
