Testing the waters, adding the taste of satire on posts

The NOAH Channel avails of a unique tool on feature stories which contain just enough satire tone and treatment for amusement and comic relief only. There is no real intention to malign or cause any harm on events, office, agency and personality(ies) mentioned or referred or alluded to.
When you come across posts that are completely factual stories yet outright ridiculous and/or absurd, we stamp our red happy smiley button smileredunhappy Other posts you have to press the buttons SHOW FACTS and HIDE FACTS if only to check which is real and not. Sometimes, you find both smiley and the buttons convenient for fact checking.

How often do we read news items or watch broadcast news on a daily basis? As for me, I watch the daily news on TV and read the newspaper like a clock work..

How often the news get our attention too much too often and sometimes we can’t help but add our comment, opinion and interject as words unfold on the small screen?

This to the point that it is almost interrupting the delivery and reception of news to some other intent viewers. That’s because I like the news anchors and never irritates me looking at them uncomfortably standing while they can take their seats like before.

Don’t worry. It is a natural reaction to most and many rather than an isolated case. It makes us feel good when emotion and opinion gets released immediately. Being rude would not hurt.

So NOW, delivery of news is interspersed with a little taste of satire, but still get the right fact when you want it more than anything.

Go ahead, PLAY with the buttons whether what you read is TRUE or NOT.

function jeherve_custom_sharing_title() {
$post = get_post();
if ( empty( $post ) ) {
} else {
// Create sharing title
$sharing_title = get_the_title( $post->ID );

// Get the tags
$post_tags = get_the_tags( $post->ID );
if ( ! empty( $post_tags ) ) {
// Create list of tags with hashtags in front of them
$hash_tags = ”;
foreach( $post_tags as $tag ) {
$hash_tags .= ‘ #’ . $tag->name;
// Add tags to the title
$sharing_title .= $hash_tags;

return $sharing_title;
add_filter( ‘sharing_title’, ‘jeherve_custom_sharing_title’, 10, 3 );

  1. A few lines will do unless very necessary and very much applicable. Actually, the feat adds more mental task and research than the usual style. But not all posts may be embedded with satire, though.
