With this post, we say goodbye to our handful of friends in the MyBloglog community. Early in February, this writer received a notice from Yahoo that the service is closing.
To some who found enough friends and interacted for some time on various issues and field of interest, its bowing out in the social networking arena will be missed.
We will officially discontinue Yahoo! MyBlogLog effective May 24, 2011. Your agreement with Yahoo!, to the extent that it applies to the Yahoo! MyBlogLog, will terminate on May 24, 2011, the notice read.
“Another one bites the dust,” some would say about its demise. The most “natural way” for most websites finding its usefulness at the endpoint, so it seems for owners and developers and users. One’s loss is another’s gain.
It’s all about popularity which translates to a tangible return of investment, much of it and not a trickle, actually. The ultimate factor continue bridging existence or presence is money and not service.
The truth is, we have never been active in the community other than streaming our posts here, like in Facebook, too. So to our friends whom we devoted less time interacting, good luck to your cause, advocacy, endeavors, interest, or whatever, being pursued.
We all know many saturate web resources of the social networking world in so many ways. There are too many choices that tempt one to spend more time one is willing to spend in one sitting.
