Typhoon Chedeng weakens, typhoon signals raised on several provinces

Typhoon Chedeng has weakend further as it moves closer to eastern Luzon. It is estimated to make landfall over the coast of Aurora-Isabela area by Sunday morning, April 5, and will exit the landmass via Ilocos Sur by Sunday evening and will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Monday Morning.

As of 10PM yesterday, the center of Typhoon Chedeng was located at 730KM east southeast of Casiguran, Aurora. Maximum sustained winds of 130KPH near the center and gustiness of up to 160KPH.

Forecast positions by Saturday evening, 290KM southeast of Casiguran, Aurora. On sunday evenung, in the vicinity of south of Vigan Ilocos Sur. On Monday evening, 450KM west of northwest of Laoag, Ilocos Norte out of PAR.

Public Storm Signal Number 2 raised over Catanduanes, #1 over Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Quezon including Polillo islands, Rizal, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Aurora, Quirino, Nueva Viscaya, Ifugao, Isabela and Mountain Province.
