Look, we have another news-source of joy. This is a belated report on the result of Mrs. Universe beauty pageant. Bicolana Maria Muriel Moral added more laurels for the Philippines upon coveting the Mrs. Intelligence award in the just concluded pageant.
Mrs. Jennika Hannussari from Finland was crowned Mrs. Universe 2010. Mrs. Dominican Republic Nileny Dippton, Mrs. Greece Diana Pothitou, Mrs. Venezuela Yesenia Rodriguez and Mrs. Armenia Alla Grigoryan were proclaimed 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th runners-up, respectively.
Mrs. Netherlands Elvira Figaroa won Mrs. Friendship award, while Mrs. Cyprus Maria Zouvana clinched the Mrs. Photogenic title. Representative from the host country, Mrs. Baltic Coast-Lithuania Jurgita Jankauskaite, bagged the Best in Gown award.
The tilt was held at the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius in eastern Europe. The awards rite was held at the Great Courtyard of Vilnius university last August 22nd.
Mrs. Philippines-Universe Maria Muriel “Lala” Moral, is a licensed civil engineer and successful businesswoman. At 46, Lala has two sons with her hubby and they call Labo, Camarines Norte their home. She was the Miss Maja Philippines in 1988 and represented the country in the Miss Maja International 1988 where she won the Best in National Costume and Miss Maja Simpatica awards.
Mrs Universe is an annual selection of beautiful married women from participating countries around the world which promotes and celebrates the image of women who play important roles in today’s society.
Earlier last August 8, 2010, another Bicolana Yvette Marie Santiago competed in the international beauty competition at the World Miss University held at Seoul, South Korea.
The 17 yer old Bicolana stunner was also the title holder of Miss Bicol University, Bb. Pamantasan 2nd runner-up and 2009 Mutya ng Magayon 1st Princess.
