CamSur spearheads climate change advocacy campaign

PILI, Camarines Sur — The province of Camarines Sur kicks-off the regional climate change advocacy campaign in Bicol on August 26th at the convention center within the capitol complex.

Gov. Miguel Villafuerte will keynote the event while Pili municipal mayor Alexis San Luis and Central Bicol State University of Agriculture president Georgina Bordado are expected to deliver statements of support.

The young governor Villafuerte fits as model for the new generation shaping the future of the nation for the advocacy on value and behavioral formation to intensify participation especially the youth.

Environment regional executive director Gilbert Gonzales will present the overview during the launching while representatives of leading and major industries in the region, students and media are expected to participate.

A ceremonial tree planting at the capitol complex will follow after the program.

It must be recalled that the province earned a Guinness World Record in tree planting through its “El Verde Movement.” (condensed from PIA post by Joseph J. Perez)
