Showcasing here an age old tradition in the region of Bicol (Philippines).
After the church wedding, then after the reception, the next program in the wedding event is the ‘Pantomina.’
Pantomina is a kind of folk dancing which mimics the love dance of doves.
In the local interpretation this time, it is first performed first by the parents of the bride, then followed by the principal sponsors, and at the end the new couples.
The main objective of the Pantomina is to solicit money from generous guests and attendees, friends and supporters.
Proceeds from the joint effort of fund raising becomes the seed money for the new couple.
