Calabanga is a small speck of dot as seen on the map of the province of Camarines Sur, down the region and peninsula of Bicol in southern Luzon, the Philippines. Its shores are dampened by the saltwater of San Miguel bay and bounded by the rivers Bicol and Tigman and the massive Mt. Isarog.
It is about thirty minutes jeepney ride from the city of Naga, and more than eight hours bus ride from Cubao, Quezon city. One can opt to take the 45-minute plane flight from Manila domestic airport to the town of Pili.
Another choice is a two hour bus ride from Naga to Legazpi city in Albay, then a fifty minute flight to Manila. The traveller’s choice will all depend on his budget and time available on hand.
