CamSur earns another Seal of Good Housekeeping

The province of Camarines Sur is a recipient of the Seal of Good Housekeeping for the year 2012 from the Department of Interior and Local Government. The first time the provincial local government unit received the award was for the year 2011.

The recognition was more like a positive approval rating for the administration of former Camarines Sur governor Luis Raymond Villafuerte rather than that of his son, Miguel Luis. The period covered by the review covers the administration of the older Villafuerte.

LGUs that satisfies the requirements of the full disclosure policy and proven to have no adverse or disclaimer audit findings by the Commission on Audit receive the seal.

An SGH award provides additional funds which could, for one, be added to the annual work program of the LGU budget.

On its first SGH award in 2011, Camarines Sur received an allotment of P15.5-M local road fund, seen to augment funding in the maintenance and construction of new farm to market roads.
