MANILA, Jan. 1 — Petron Corporation rolled back the price of its liquefied petroleum gas products for the month of January effective on New Year’s Day.
In an advisory, Petron decreased by P7.56 per kilogram of its LPG products inclusive of value added tax.
For calamity-stricken areas of Cebu and Bohol, the oil company implemented a different rate of price roll back at P5.34 per kilogram of LPG products.
Cebu and Bohol consumers may expect P58.74 decrease in retail price of a regular 11-kilogram LPG products of Petron such as Gasul and Fiesta Gas while for non-calamity affected areas, an P83.16 decrease per 11-kilogram LPG may be expected this month.
The oil company also slashed prices of AutoLPG by P4.27 per liter.
For Cebu and Bohol, it also decreased prices of AutoLPG by P2.98 per liter.
The decline in prices of LPG products was pushed by the drop in international contract prices for the month of January.
Unlike other petroleum products such as diesel and gasoline, LPG prices are moved only once a month depending on the international contract price for a particular month. (PNA)
