The latest on the Kidapawan farmers violent dispersal, and more

Try keep watching the live stream video of the Philippine Senate hearing by the Committee on Justice and Human Rights last April 20 on the bloody dispersal of farmers’ rally in (North) Cotabato and Kidpapawan.

Even at the first few minutes of the stream, one will get irked by how various officers of government agencies answer the questions and the senators get irked, obviously.

Interesting how during the interpellations of Senators Juan Ponce Enrile and Alan Peter Cayetono, agency officials still tried hard but failed to bluff the senators.

The hearing ferreted out details, like the governor of (North) Cotabato gave the order to disperse, but the relieved provincial police chief yesterday denied giving an order to open fire on protesting farmers who were demanding rice assistance in Kidapawan last April 1.

We recommend it is good to finish the video for more juicy facts, some are revolting, though.
