Yesterday, Santiago expressed she is in the pink of health and just ready to take another chance for presidential run.

Her pronouncement was confirmed during the launching-signing event of her new book “Stupid is Forevermore” at the National Book Store located in Glorietta Mall in Makati City.

As dozens of her supporters urged her to run for the presidency, Santiago said that she would definitely show up at the Commission on Elections’ main office in Intramuros within the week to file her certificate of candidacy.

The senator informed the media that she has a running mate in mind, who has already announced his preference to run for the vice-presidency.

The three politicians gunning for the second highest post in the land without a running mate are Nacionalista senators Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr, Peter Alan Cayetano and Antonio Trillanes IV. Both Marcos and Trillanes has filed their COCs already.

Under her People’s Reform Party, Santiago lost to Pres. Fidel V. Ramos during the national elections in May 1992.
