MANILA, March 20 — Only four out of every ten Filipinos like President Benigno S. Aquino III to stay in Malacanang and continue what he is doing. Four out of ten Filipinos still believe in his way of leadership. Six of every ten are Filipinos think otherwise. The current result of the Pulse Asia survey clearly showed that only 4 of ten do not think that Aquino should step down.
The survey result was greeted by Malacanang with a grin of satisfaction. They were not even surprised of the outcome of the survey. They were after all expecting the result. They predicted it right and true.
The survey, conducted from March 1 to 7 using face-to-face interviews with 1,200 respondents, showed that 42 percent disagreed when asked if President Aquino should resign as president now. While 29 percent of the respondents supported calls for the President to resign, about 28 percent were undecided.
