Valerie Weigmann, a commercial model and TV host, who claims her roots from Albay province, was crowned Miss World Philippines 2014 Sunday night in Manila.
Also winneres are runners up Lorraine Kendrickson, First Princess; Nelda Ibe, Second Princess; Nicole Donesa, Third Princess; and Rachel Peters, Fourth Princess.
Aside from winning the covetted crown, the stunner also won several speacial awards which include Best in Swimsuit, Best in Fashion Runway and Best in Long gown. The Bicol beauty was also awarded titles of Miss Solaire, Miss Filia, Miss Jesi Mendez, Miss Reducin, Miss Olay, Miss Bench, Miss Camarines Sur, Miss Hana and Miss Blue Water Day Spa.
The 24-year old Ms. Weigmann, is currently co-hosting local noontime variety show Eat Bulaga, claims to be of mixed Filipino, German and Danish blood.
The coronation night of the Miss World Philippines 2014 was held at the Mall of Asia Arena. Outgoing Miss World 2013, the Philippines’ Megan Young crowned her successor.
