Don’t let bad guys get hold of this device to unlock and steal vehicles.

The growing incidents of car thefts in the USA with the help of technology is something. It is actually alarming.

Two years ago, the American public was warned about an electronic mystery device that allows thieves unlock, open vehicles and steal a car.

The non-profit National Insurance Crime Bureau got hold of the device purchased from a company outside the states.

It turned out the gadget was developed by engineers so car manufacturers and anti-theft orgnizations could test the vulnerability of vehicles.

The mystery gadget identified as a ‘Relay Attack’ unit are used for cars with keyless remote and using push button ignition.

Testing the effectiveness of the gadget, it was confirmed it can do all or some of these on the vehicle: open the door, start the engine, drive away, turn it off and restart the engine.

Thieves can get hold of these devices which range in technology and work on different make, model and iginition system. The expensive the gadget the better the quality and more enhanced capability for stealing a car.
