China deploys 25K medical personnel to coronavirus-plagued Hubei as ‘War Time Condition’ begins
Some 217 medical rescue groups with 25,633 personnel are dispatched to ground zero of the 2019 new coronavirus or covid-19 stricken Wuhan city in China’s Hubei province.
According to state-operated news outlet Global Times 25,633 medical rescue personnel under 217 teams were sent to the province. In comparison, this far exceeds and overwhelming compared to the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008 with fatalities of over 80,000 people. It only shows the grave condition now existing in the area.
As of this posting, the nationwide stat is on the rise which include 4 deaths, additional 2,641 cases which come up to the total of 66,492 as of Friday, Feb. 14.
For Hubei province, 139 Covid-19 deaths and 54,406 already confirmed total cases.
By coincidence, China’s Valentine’s Day marked the start of ‘war time’ conditions in Wuhan, which include a total ban on leaving residence for any reason except when authorized for a government task/work or to receive treatment.
