Trust and confidence in the poll body was bolstered with the quick upload of partial but unofficial results through poll watchdog Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible voting and print media entities mirroring returns on their websites.

But the national and local elections was held on May 9, 2016, and four days later, the unofficial count is languishing and lagging behind in pace. The trust and confidence which surfaced in the few hours after the elections is slowly waning and getting eroded.

This is the updated result for the presidential race with 95.65% of precincts as of May 11th 2016 at 8:56:14 pm having reported:

Rodrigo Dutere – 15,878,866 or 38.5% of votes cast
Manuel Roxas II – 9,663,442 or 23.5% of votes
Grace Poe – 8,912,241 or 21.6%
Jejomar inay – 5,301,109 or 12.9%
Miriam Defensor Santiago – 1,417,319 or 3.4% of votes
Seneres, Roy (deceased) 25,064 or 0.1%

The vice-presidential race is a cliffhanger:

Maria Leonor Robredo – 13,968,311 or 35.1% of total votes cast
Ferdinand Marcos Jr – 13,736,911 or 34.5%
Alan Peter Cayetano – 5,655,341or 14.2%
Francis Joseph Escudero – 4,797,506 or 12.1%
Antonio Trillanes IV – 840,125 or 2.1%
Gregorio Honasan II – 757,058 or 1.9%
