MANILA, Feb 20 – The Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters has no plan to join in the peace talks between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front.
In a radio interview with BIFF spokesperson Abu Misry Mama, he insisted that they are fighting for an Islamic state and not a Bangsamoro region.
Misry said even if the Bangamoro Basic Law is passed by the congress and becomes law creating the Bangsamoro region, his group will remain fighting for an (independent) Islamic state.
He added that the peace talks is not the solution in the ongoing restlessnes in Mindanao.
Meanwhile, BIFF belied that it is not the BIFF which uploaded the viral video on the brutal Mamasapano killings of some members of the Philippine National Police Speckal Action Force.
