In our continuing coverage of the religious celebration (festivities and feastivities) happening now in Naga city, we repost the previous year’s drone coverage of the Saturday foot and fluvial procession and the concelebrated mass closing the event.
The inflock of Catholic devotees to the Marian devotion exemplified thru the regional patroness of the Virgin of Peñafrancia is always an awe inspiring event.
The first video covered the transfer from the outdoor altar fronting the Naga mettropolitan cathedral and the foot procession.
The second was a drone footage of the fluvial event.
Capping the religious celebration was a concelebrated mass held outside the grounds of the Peñafrancia Basilica Minore.
For devotees who can not make it to this years’ event, don’t worry. There’s plenty of opportunity all year round. When in Naga City, the Shrine of Penafrancia, the St John Cathedral and the Basilica Minore all have the Marian image enthroned in the main altar of these churches.
During summer each year, there is a May Penafrancia festival which replicates the same huge event of September.
