Jueteng bet collector shot dead in Matnog

MATNOG, Sorsogon Feb. 12 – A jueteng collector of this town was shot dead Tuesday morning while on his regular route of bet collection.

Fatality Reynaldo Gabad, 39 years old, was riding a tricycle on his way to Barangay Lajong of this town when gunned down by still unidentified assailant.

The suspected killer left the crime scene towrds the direction of Barangay Barila.

Observers ruled out robbery as the motive as bet collections by the victim was left untouched.

Meanwhile, local government officials continue to deny the existence of jueteng in the area, as the illegal numbers game is operating under the mantle of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes’ Small Town Lottery operations.
