CAMP GEN. SIMEON A. OLA, Legazpi City, Jan. 6 — A police officer died when the motorcycle he was driving was hit by a passenger bus coming from opposite direction along the Andaya highway in Barangay Agrupacion, Ragay, Camarines Sur, Monday morning.
According to the police report the victim, SPO1 Eduardo Alacar, 52, married and assigned at the police national headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City, died on the spot.
Alacar, a resident of Walnut St., West Fairview, Quezon City, was temporary living at Barangay Rawis, Legazpi City.
The report said the accident happened at about 8:20 a.m. while Alacar was on his way to Metro Manila and his motorcycle was bumped by the Arandia Line bus that was on its way to Naga City from Metro Manila.
Police arrested driver Ernan Cardel, 39, married and a resident of Barangay Badian, Oas, Albay, and are now preparing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide against the suspect. (PNA)
