The port of Bulan in Sorsogon is now ready to accommodate trucks bound for Allen town of Northern Samar, according to B/Gen Jett Velarmino, commanding officer of the 8th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army.

Matnog Port can now serve as entry point of vehicles on board roll on roll off vessels going to Eastern Visayas and Mindanao.

The opening of the port of Bulan for transport of relief goods to the eastrn Visayas region will considerably ease the congestion being experienced in the Matnog port. Bulan is about 15 miles away from Matnog. (PNA)
