Magellan

To give us a broader and over-all picture of the total annual income of all LGUs, all provinces, all cities and all municipalities, would it be better if they are summed-up by region? So here it is, the table of consolidated income of all LGUs. This post finally closes the presentation on the 2005 income of Philippine towns, cities and provinces.

Income of provinces by region: On the provincial summary, the premier provinces of CALABARZON, Southern Tagalog (Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon and Rizal) Region IV-A amassed a total income of P6.01B for Rank #1.

Ranked 2nd by Mindanao’s Region 12 provinces (Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, North Cotabato, Sarangani, South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat- the last five used to be the original single province of Cotabato).

Bicol region of six provinces settled on the 8th.

The half-part of Region IV, which is the MIMAROPA Region IV-B (provinces of Palawan, Mindoro Oriental, Mindoro Occidental, Marinduque and Romblon) ranked 12th.

Last on the list was CARAGA Region (composed by the provinces of Agusan Del Norte, Agusan Del Sur, Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur).

Note there are only 15 regions on this table as the National Capital Region is comprised of cities and a municipality without any provincial LGU.

Here’s the easy reference table:

And finally, here it is, the table of consolidated income of all LGUs by region.

Still, the NCR on top, followed by CALABARZON and then Central Luzon.

Bicol region has a total of P8.87B for the 9th.

The Zamboanga Peninsula Region 9 composed of the provinces, cities and towns in Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-tawi was on the 11th. Interesting here, why for purposes of annual income listing, is Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao nowhere to be found or mentioned? The LGUS of ARMM- provinces and cities were listed and grouped with other regions!!

Eastern Visayas Region 8 provinces of Biliran, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Northern Samar, Samar and Southern Leyte LGUS totalled an annual income good for the 12th rank. There used to be only the Samar and Leyte provinces, long, long ago.

The Cagayan Valley region with the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino ranked 13th.
