A day after posting a short piece about Senator Grace Poe Visits PhilRice For Rice Paddy Art, we received a friendly note asking us to “correct” or ahem, remove the reference to a “foot padding” where the good senator stood for the photo shoot.
We were made to understand to keep in contact with a staff member of Senator Grace Poe, specifically Ms. Marivic Chavez, for the purpose.
In essence, we surmised that either the staff of Senator Poe are so onion skinned or fear the senator or the Senator herself wants the “correction” done. We would not know the exact and truthful answer, though.
The point is, we interpreted the photo all by its visual appearance and message appeal to the general public. It was our personal opinion and interpretation. No malice intended.
The people around Senator Poe during that photo shoot should have thought of the simple implication of letting her stand on that green foot padding, whether intentional or unintentional. It was beyond our understanding and knowledge. It was their lookout on the first place.
So here we maintain, that that foot padding was strategically located during the photo shoot.
And by the way, just to amuse some people, the rice (plants) may have yet to make a full bloom but had to be sacrificed for the sake of “rice paddy” art. Some intention awfully wrong. But if it were some grass or weeds, that would be okay then.
