MANILA – Election is on! That is for the more than 24,000 local absentee voters who can now cast votes beginning today, Wednesday, April 27 but only until Friday, April 29.
The Committee on Local Absentee Voting (CLAV) chief Rowena Guanzon said those who registered under the LAV to participate in the three-day voting period are encouraged to cast their votes already.
For this election, a total of 24,497 LAV are expected to cast their votes.
LAV include government officials, employees, members of the Philippine National Police, members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and media practitioners who are registered voters but will not be able to vote on MAY 9 due to the performance of their duties.
Local absentee voters will cast votes in designated voting precint (place) for the positions of president, vice-president, senators, and party-list group. (with PNA report)
