A passenger Fly Dubai Boeing-737-800 en route from Dubai to Russia’s Rostov-on-Don, crashed at the city airport missing the runway amid poor visibility, an emergencies source told RIA Novosti on Saturday.
All passengers and crew perished. According to the source, 62 passengers, including four children, and seven crew members were on board.
“According to preliminary information, the Boeing-737 fell amid poor visibility conditions 50-100 meters [164-328 feet] left of the runway,” the regional Emergencies Ministry told RIA Novosti.
According to the source, the poor visibility caused by heavy rain could have been the likely cause of the crash.
