DAGUPAN CITY, – The third and last presidential debate under the auspices of the Commission on Elections will follow a town hall format on Sunday from 6 PM to 9 PM at the student plaza of the University of Pangasinan Phinma in Dagupan City.

Prepared questions would range from very relevant and important issues like metro traafic and public transportation, health, foreign policy, job security, OFW concerns, basic public education and peace in conflict areas in Mindanao.

With confirmed attendance, candidates Rodrigo Duterte, Grace Poe, Miriam Santiago, Mar Roxas and Jejomar Binay will be made to answer all questions, giving the public a good comparison to come into decision on who of these presidential candidates is well prepared. But it doesn’t necessarily infer or guarantee that their answer will be carried on during their terms of office.

Only 1,200 seats are reserved for live audience while a handfull of media people, about 20, are given the pass inside the debate venue. The rest of media personnel covering the event will be made to stay inside the media center provided with television monitoring sets.

Vice President Jejomar Binay already inspected the debate site while the other candidates were seen to have arrived Sunday, some in the morning.

The moderators of the debate are Tony Velasquez and Karen Davila as ABS-CBN is the lead broadcasting carrier with other media partner of Manila Bulletin and Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas all under the mantle of the Comelec’s supervision.

The last presidential debate held in Cebu City was marred with more than an hour-long delay due to misunderstanding, while on this link is the replay of the PiliPinas 2016 debate in UP Cebu: Second round of PH presidential debates tonight at UP-Cebu auditorium.
