The president boarded at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 at 9 a.m., but his plane flew past 9:30 a.m.

Colombia is the only country that is not a member of APEC but was invited to the Economic Leaders´ Meeting.

To date, the Latin American country has waited for a membership into the group for 25 years. New membership into APEC is banned until next year, which was implemented since 1997.(PNA)
