One of the Philippine’s leading media conglomerate earns another favorable ruling for its anti-piracy cases. This time it is worth $25 million!
The media group of ABS-CBN Corporation, ABS-CBN Film Productions (Star Cinema) and ABS-CBN International received a judgment for $25 million in the U. S. Federal Court in the Southern District of Florida against Vonn Ryan Motomal of New Zealand.
Motomal owns dozens of multi-media web sites which were allegedly infringing the copyrights and trademarks of ABS-CBN shows and movies.
The judgment orders the transfer of Motomal sites to the media group.
Among the many sites by Motomal include pinoy-ako.re, webpinaytambayan.com, pinayshowbiz.com, pinoy-tube.com, and watchpinoy24.net.
