Kabayan party list representative Harry Roque got swarmed with negative comments on social media sites Facebook and Twitter.
In a press conference Wednesday, Kabayan party list Harry Roque wagged his tongue longer than it should. He uttered a sexist remark towards Senator Leila de Lima.
Roque asked why the lady senator, facing drug complaints being pushed by the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte, wanted to get detained at the AFP headquarters rather than in PNP headquarters in Camp Crame.
“Bakit niya gusto ma-detain sa Armed Forcesof the Philippines? Dahil ba madaming lalaki do’n? the honorable congressman asked during the press conference on Feb. 22.
(Why does she want to be detained at the Armed Forces of the Philippines? Is it because there are many men there?)
This sexist comment was met with a barrage of reaction from the social media:
The Despicable Harry Roque.

Tne fact that De Lima didn't even mention her choice of detention makes Harry Roque's crude joke even worse.https://t.co/XEWkFR0Jcp
