Is if official then, that Vice President Leni Robredo is finally tendering her resignation as the chairperson of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council on Monday, today?
A verified report said that the former Congresswoman of Camarines Sur who won a 264K margin over her closest rival in the 2016 elections was resigning her post.
Robredo has occupied the cabinet level position for a mere 150 days.
The short accommodation of Robredo in the Duterte cabinet has become a balancing act for the Bicolana leader.
The last straw of that act which may have totally offended Malacanang came with her vocal opposition on the extra judicial killings in the Duterte administration’s war on drugs.

The vice President also opposed the burial of the dictator Ferdinand Marcos at Libingan ng mga Bayani which was poles apart with President Duterte’s preferred decision.
On Sunday, the VP confirmed knowledge of Palace’s official instruction excluding her from attending Cabinet meetings onward.
It was Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco, Jr who relayed to a national daily that the President has given instructions to inform the vice president and Patricia Licuanan, chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education to stop attending the Cabinet meeting.
Evasco said that the president’s main reason was due to “irreconcilable differences.”
The Cabinet Secretary, though, clarified there was no instruction to terminate Robredo for her post as HUDCC head.
Robredo belongs to the Liberal Party and Licuanan was an appointee of former President Benigno S. Aquino, III.
