Alarming hostage situation is unfolding just now as shootout with Islamist militants at hotel in Burkina Faso’s capital.
Reports that an ongoing hostage situation is happening at a hotel in the city center of Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, after at least three armed turbaned men began shooting at a hotel frequently used by Westerners and UN staff.

The report said that least 6 people have been confirmed dead in the ongoing attack, Russia’s Honorary Council in Burkina Faso, Anna Rachina-Kulibali, told TASS.
One of the hostages could be a Burkina Faso government minister, France 24 reported on air. Burkina Faso’s law enforcement is planning a counter-assault, which may involve the help of foreign forces, according to the channel.
