The Department of Foreign Affairs said on Wednesday that fourteen Filipinos were killed in a vehicular collision in Saudi Arabia while they were on their way to their living quarters in east Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
“Our embassy coordinated with the company that they are working for and the initial information that we got was that the Filipinos on the coaster met an accident while on their way to their accommodation from their work site,” Foreign Affairs spokesman Charles Jose said.
The passengers are all Filipinos, Jose said, adding there are unconfirmed number of Philippine nationals who were seriously injured after their coaster hit a delivery truck.
“The DFA has yet to receive a comprehensive report from the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh,” Jose said.
