The resource speaker was following the official stand of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) which is totally against divorce.
Introducing divorce into the Filipino culture is new and naturally cause some discussion, at times heated and passionate, of people with clashing opinions.
Don’t be alarmed, it is normal and healthy. What is not normal will be the events that will follow once the divorce law is passed.
