Be aware: Are fast food wrappers killing consumers?

In a new study published in the Journal of Environmental Science and Technology, as an example, hamburgers deliciously wrapped or in containers produced with the harmful chemical PFC puts the consumer at extreme risk. Food chains serve orders using wrappers containing PFC. PFC, also referred to as perfluorocarbons, is a harmful chemical linked to so many health concerns and other human illnesses which range from cancer, miscarriages, thyroid problems, and more.. Fluorocarbons and its derivatives are commonly used as fluoropolymers, refrigerants, solvents, and anesthetics.

Out of 100 persons shopping at city malls in the country, roughly 80+ (80% or more) of the number end up eating in fast food chains. That is a pretty good stat for mall operators and food retailers. Good for business, they can say.

But there’s a possible downside for people who frequents fast food restaurants.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a dozen different types of perfluorinated compounds were detected in persons it tested.

So can the hamburger bought over the counter of a fast food chain kill you? According to a study, the answer is a resounding yes. And that is not because of the hamburger, but because of the wrapper it is contained in.

Hamrful chemical PFC or its derivatives is also used in the manufacture of pizza boxes,  hamburger and sandwich wrappers and beverage containers (sofftdrink, coffee).
