Expect there will be suspension of more classes in all levels for both private and publics schools in affected areas of the country due to prevailing inclement weather situations brought about the southwest monsoon and identified low pressure area.
The 13 cities under the National Capital Region all have declared suspension of classes for Monday. The cities include Caloocan, Las Pinas, Malabon, Manila, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Paranaque, Pasay, Pasig, Quezon, San Juan, Taguig, and Valenzuela.
Near the NCR, the municipalities of Cainta, Rodriguez and San Mateo in Rizal also suspended classes for Aug. 15.
In Nueva Edija, Gov. Cherry Umali declared the suspension of classes in all levels as moderate to heavy rainfall continue to batter the province since Friday.
Bataan Gov. Albert Garcia also announced the suspension of classes in all levels, both in public and private, in the province.
Gov. Susan Yap has declared the suspension of classes in all levels in Tarlac province.
Localized suspensions of classes, on the other hand, were declared in the provinces of Pampanga and Zambales.
In Pampanga, local executives from the cities of San Fernando, Mabalacat and Angeles including the town of Sasmuan, Sto. Tomas, Guagua, Minalin, Magalang, Bacolor, Macabebe, Sta. Ana, Apalit, Lubao, Arayat, San Luis, Floridablanca and Sta. Rita also declared the suspension of classes in all levels in both public and private schools.
Pre-school to high school levels, both in public and private, on the other hand, were suspended in the towns of Masantol, Mexico, San Simon, Porac and Candaba.
In Zambales, Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino and Subic Mayor Jay Khonghun also declared suspension of classes in all levels, both public and private. (PNA)
Mayor Belen Fernandez has declared the suspension of classes in all levels in Dagupan City on Monday, Aug. 15, due to continuing rainfall spawned by the intensified southwest monsoon that may cause flooding in some areas of the city.
Five more Pangasinan towns including Alaminos and San Carlos cities, Lingayen, Mangaldan and Calasiao has already declared suspension of classes, too.
