Light rains in Luzon, but generally fair weather most of the country

Some parts of Luzon will experience light to moderate rains but most part of the country will have fair weather on Wednesday due to two weather systems now affecting the country, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.

The state weather bureau forecasts the northeast monsoon to prevail over Northern Luzon as tail-end of a cold front will be present at the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon.

Also. cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms is expected over Bicol Region and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon while cloudy skies with light rains will be experienced over Cagayan Valley Region.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains is expected over the regions of Ilocos and Cordillera while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, the state-run weather bureau also issued a gale warning due to the effects of the northeast monsoon as the sea condition would be rough to very rough because of strong to gale force winds expected to affect the northern seaboards of Northern Luzon.

“Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves,” it warned. (PNA)
