P336.8-M funding, contracts for three river irrigation systems signed

Three huge National Irrigation Administration projects worth P336,845,505.73 is underway for Ilocos Norte, Bukidnon and Davao Del Sur. The amount is earmarked to rehabilitate, improve irrigation systems and fund the construction of irrigators’ association support facilities.

The finalized project contracts under the National Irrigation Sector Rehabilitation and Improvement Project (NISRIP) were signed at the NIA headquarters in Quezon City.

The projects were identified as the Solsona river irrigation system in Solsona-Dingras Ilocos Norte, Muleta river irrigation system (RIS) in Maramag-Don Carlos Bukidnon, and Mal river irrigation system in Matanao-Hagonoy Davao Del Sur.

PHESCO INC. and North Tech Builders and Construction Supply bagged the P139,759,327.76. rehabilitation, improvement and construction of IA support facilities of the Solsona RIS.

Tribu Design and Construction will implement the P92,791,582.14 Muleta RIS improvement and rehabilitation project while Monolithic Construction and Concrete Products Inc. will work on the P104,294,595.83 Mal RIS.
