NCRPO increase police presence during COC filing period

With the start in filing of the Certificate of Candidacy (COC) of politicians, police presence will be beefed up in Metro Manila. Chief Supt. Joel Pagdilao, Regional Director of National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), on Sunday ordered all district directors in Metro Manila to increase security operations within vicinities of COMELEC offices to ensure peace and order during the week-long filing of COCs for the 2016 elections.

Pagdilao did not disclose the exact number of cops who will be assigned to secure the offices and their locations for operational matters but noted that policemen will help direct traffic in roads leading to the main Comelec office in Intramuros, Manila, where candidates for president, vice president and senator will file their COCs.
