CamSur sustains P187.3-M loss on agri crops due to Amang.

Tropical Storm Amang left Bicol not without wreaking havoc on agricultural crops in Camarines Sur. The province sustained agricultural losses pegged at P187.3 million according to the regional disaster council.

Other provinces registered agricultural damages including Sorsogon at P23.2 milliion, Albay with P12.3 million, Camarines Norte at P6.3 million, and Masbate with P857,900.

Damages on high-value crops reached Php 19.5 million while public infrastructure sustained P49.7 in damages.

The council reported that three typhoon fatalities were identified already.

Drowned from floodwaters was Domingo Tablate, 69, of Barangay Antipolo del Norte, Virac town of Catanduanes. Arlene Aguilar, 48, was buried alive in a landslide that hit their residence in Barangay Tawig, Paracale, Camarines Norte. Emmanuel Espinosa Andaya, 56, of Purok 1, Poblacion 3, Vinzons town, Camarines Norte, perished from the typhoon.

Meanwhile power, water and communication facilities in Bicol provinces restored normal operations, except in some areas in Camarines Norte. Scheduled domestic flights resumed on Monday.
