MANILA, Jan. 30 — President Benigno Aquino III is scheduled to lead the necrological service for the slain members of the Philippine National Police-Special Action Force at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City Friday.

The memorial service coincides with the observance of the National Day of Mourning declared by the President in remembrance for the 44 members of the police’s elite group who were killed in a clash with members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in Mamasapano, Maguindanao last Sunday.

Aside from the SAF members’ family and friends, the necrological service will also be attended by the Cabinet members and other government officials.
