PAL cancels 66 scheduled domestic flights for Monday

MANILA, Dec 7 — A total of 66 Philippine Airline (PAL) flights scheduled for Monday (Dec 8) have been cancelled as early as Sunday due to bad weather brought about by typhoon “Ruby.”

PAL said that the cancelled roundtrip flights are bound for Caticlan (8 flights), Tacloban (5), Cebu (5), Kalibo (3), Davao(2), Legazpi (2), Bacolod (2), Busuanga (2), Naga (2) and one flight each to Roxas, Puerto Princesa, Iloilo, Tagbilaran, Laoag, Zamboanga, Masbate and Iloilo.

Also cancelled are 16 Manila-inbound flights coming from Cagayan de Oro (2 flights), Davao (2), Dumaguete (2) and one flight each from Dipolog, Bacolod, Laoag, Tagbilaran, Iloilo, Cebu, Zamboanga, Surigao, Tuguegarao and Basco.

Also not operating is flight 2P2825 (Manila to Davao) for Dec. 8.

Flight numbers of the cancelled flights are:

The cancelled Manila-inbound flights are coming from:

Cagayan de Oro – 2P2528, 2P2526; Dipolog – 2P2558; Davao – 2P2816, 2P2814; Bacolod – 2P2906; Laoag – 2P2197; Tagbilaran – 2P2774; Dumaguete – 2P2546, 2P2544; Iloilo – 2P2934; Cebu – 2P2854; Zamboanga – 2P2992; Surigao – 2P2096; Tuguegarao – 2P2015; Basco – 2P2087.

To recall, PAL cancelled a total of 30 flights on Sunday (Dec 7), and 14 on last Saturday (Dec. 6) due to the typhoon.

The airline meanwhile advised its passengers to confirm if their flights are operating before going to the airport to avoid congestion.

Passengers of cancelled flights will be accommodated on the next available flights.

PAL’s contact centers have been calling passengers of the cancelled flights, particularly those who provided contact information when they booked with PAL.

Passengers may rebook for travel within 30 days from original flight date, with rebooking fees/charges waived.

If passenger is unable to rebook on the same fare class, rebooking on a higher booking class will be allowed, with fare difference also waived, PAL said. (PNA)
