The colorful military parade should begin to unfold in the morning, today, on the main streets of the city of Naga and each contingent show the best right at the front of the “review stand” of Plaza Quezon.

A lucky day would mean our favorite local TV station will broadcast live, and also on streaming, the proceedings of the parade, which could last long hours.

But wait, the “uncool” prevailing weather due to the effects of Typhoon Mario is bringing lots of water not only in Naga but nearby towns, too.

In Calabanga, the rain is causing small flooding in the area, including barangay San Pablo. The mother of all rivers, the Bicol river, is getting a lot of run-offs from its tributaries. The Naga river is causing some concern on safety of residents living nearby. It is best to be very careful. Exercise precautionary measure and be safe everyone!!

According to the Facebook page of Mayor John Bongat:

PRAYING HARD THAT THE NON-STOP RAINS FOR A WEEK NOW, EXCEPT YESTERDAY, WILL STOP. I DID THE ROUNDS and right now monitoring status in 27 brgys at the Naga City Central Communications Center, in view of the overflow of the Bicol and Naga Rivers. City personnel have been deployed in brgys, and brgy captains and councils on blue alert since 9pm. Evacuation in some brgys undertaken since 10pm. INA, please pray for your people.
