Update: Glenda death toll now 38, NDRRMC report more damages

A total of thirty eight persons were reported dead, ten were injured and eight are still missing in Regions 1, 2, 3, 4-b, 5, 7 and NCR as aftermath of Typhoon Glenda, according to the update by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.

At 6:00 AM today, a total of 1,193 passenger, 23 vessels, 176 rolling cargoes and 15 motor bancas were stranded on various ports.

Thirteen provinces and one city were expriencing power interruptions since Tuesday, 15 July 2014.

As of 6;00 AM, 84% of Metro Manila has been restored with electricity while Bicol transmission is still out.

A total of 26,259 houses in affected regions were either totally or partially damaged.

In infrastructure, a total of P45.5M reported damages by Bataan and Nueva Ecija engineering districts on earth dikes and concrete pavement.

P668.2M was estimated to be damage on crops- rice, corn, hihg valued cash crops, and livestock.

The Bicol provinces of Albay and Camarines Sur, including Naga city, were declared under state of calamity.
