Based on the above tables covering the years 2001, 2002 and 2003, provincial capital towns have very good chances of earning more than any town in their respective province, like Virac and Daet.

Provinces like Albay, Masbate and Sorsogon has provincial capitals which are now component cities. In this case, other towns rise to the occasion and become commercial/business center in their own right.

More than these, the economic progress of LGus rests upon the effectiveness of elected officials. Savvy, creative and resourceful town executives create opportunities and do not just wait for one. There will be more shake-up and surprises, perhaps, on the following years.
