Quitting Time at the Public Market

At 6:28 in the evening, stalls at the only public market in the town start turning off lights one by one. Vendors of fresh vegetable, meat and fish wraps up the day and settles for whatever sale was made.

For them, the day is over and look up to tomorrow’s business in an upbeat mood. I caught one guy working in the store concluding briskly his assigned task.

Just beyond, I glanced at the distant telecom (cellular) tower, the mute witness to all the goings-on about the market, day and night.
